[BIOGRAPHY]
post mortem started in 1982 as a hardcore punk band. in 1985 they got some
new people in the band, and turned into a metal band. the only releases they
did that got any real promotion were the 2 they did for new renaissance
records in the mid 80's. seth putnam almost joined a couple times, but
didn't actually join until 1990, after Anal Cunt 's first breakup. seth
played a bunch of shows with them, but only recorded one song with them (but,there
are some live and rehearsal tapes here and there). it is the a-side of the "seasoned
nosalt makes my beef stew taste like my beef stew" 7". the guitarist does
the vocals on the b-side. with seth, they did a miserable tour in january
1991 (yugoslavian band,patareni, was supposed to be on the tour, but they
weren't allowed to leave thier country). seth says it was the worst tour
he's ever been on. they did more local shows, and prepared for a new album.
seth quit in 1992 after being totally sick of them. they continued on for a
while with various members, and broke up
